Jason Middlebrook, Iconic Debris, (2002)


The fifth weekly installment of exhibitions by gallery artists opens Saturday, May 22, with works by Felipe Barbosa, Lee Boroson, Sarah Cain, Nina Katchadourian, Jason Middlebrook and Julia von Eichel. Exploring abstracted spatial configurations -- exploding debris, adhered pencils, a dissected artery of roads -- the six works on view invoke an interconnectedness between the familiar and the absolute. Organized in conjunction with Lee Boroson's exhibition Universal Solvent and on view in the Penthouse Gallery. This week's installment is curated by Travis LeRoy Southworth.
